Diego was chilling with us as we ate, being super cute as always...

Diego was really excited about getting his bottle, but it was still too hot, so he would grab it and then let go really quickly and make a face.

Then on Friday we went and hung out at the park again. We saw a bunch of older people congregating in the middle of the street by the park...
Then we went shopping to get Lily some shoes for Morocco and I ended up getting a new shirt too! yay! The best thing about the shopping trip was that we saw a lady walking around in a eggplant purple leather suit! Sadly, we didn't have our cameras or else I would post one. Most of the people in Granada are dressed so well... haha.On Friday night a big group of IES kids decided to go to Nerja to hang out for the weekend and we decided to join them! yay!
VAMOS A LA PLAYA!!!
Saturday morning we got up at 7:30 to get to the bus station on time. After that it was just a 18 Euro round trip ticket and 1:30 trip from Granada to Nerja. When Lily, Joya, Meg and I bought our tickets, it said we were on Bus 2. When we got outside we only saw a BUS 1 and BUS 3. We spent at 15 minutes arguing with the bus driver before we finally got on the bus. I have problems staying awake...
When we got off the bus a group of about 8 of us were a little eager to get to the water so we just started walking toward the water. (Joyas Picture)

My thought was that we just need to get to the water and then we can walk down to where ever we want. Apparently the beaches here are not like in Florida, they dont connect. So we spent about an hour and a half walking up and down the beaches trying to find the big one.
This is the first beach we found, which was really rocky, but Meg and Lily found some cool sea glass!

It was great once we got there, though the sand was a little rocky. We hung out there pretty much all day. Lily was super excited to be at the beach. She knows how to appreciate the little things in life!

The water was freezing, but some people put their feet in...

We ate our picnic lunches on the beach and went to a restaurant on the beach for a snack. Of course we had to get ice cream after our beach naps (Joya took this one of Meg and Lily)
Then Lily tried to build a sand castle, but it didn't last long.
And then I had fun taking pictures of Joya being ridiculous... She makes the best faces!!

And this one for good measure and so you can see how pretty is was in color!!
Then I let Joya and Lily play with my camera. Lily just took this picture of me...
Then it was Joya's turn...
I have a little obsession with fleur de lis, and Joya managed to capture that...
ps. Thanks Caitlin for the awesome bathingsuit! YOU ROCK!

Lily, Joya and I decided to head back last night (the rest of the group stayed the night) because we were tired and did not have clothes for Sunday. We started to walk up the big hill, but then one of the three taxis in Nerja passed us so we got in and sped to the bus station. Well I don't know if you would really call it a bus station, it was more of a bus stop... We got there about an hour early, so we chilled in the sun and ate the rest of the fruit that we brought from home.

I slept most of the bus ride home, but I was trying not too! I even put on happy loud music to keep me awake, but it didn't work. The French woman sitting next to me though I was really weird because my head was bobbing. Haha.
The three of us took a cab to Gran Via so Joya could take the bus and we just walked home. Lily and I discovered a new store that is on our way home and right across the street from our favorite pub that was full of yummy gummy candies, chips, roasted nuts and drinks. They even had peanut M&M's!! So we got a couple of treats and made our way home. Lily got the shower first because she was going out. I chatted with Matt while she was in there. He was nice enough to take an hour out of his day when he was home visiting his parents! yay! After I got off skype with him I went to shower, but then my host mom woke up and said it was too late! AH! So I just went to bed...
This morning Lily and I woke up around 11:30 and went to the beach right by our house to "study." We ended up just talking, napping and listening to music.

There was this really cute dad there with his dog and daughter...

Then the puppy came over to play with us!! He was so sweet!

So thats been my weekend! And now I've just got a couple days of classes until I go to Morocco!!!
